I love photography! Since the day my mom bought me my first Brownie at a garage sale when I was 8 or so, I was hooked. I only remember forcing my little brother to strike baseball card poses in the front yard. In the time since photography also allowed me to experience my other passions at a level most can only dream of.
Standing in the pit at a rock concert, inches from the stage in front of me, and equal distance from a rabid crowd of thousand behind me. Shooting portraits and candids after concerts of the artists, and VIP's. Or poised on the sideline at a Pro Football game, close enough to the "controlled" violence to hear the air leave a mans body after a eel delivered hit, and to feel the ground move under your feet after a tackle. Not something most will ever experience watching on a TV.
Whether I'm shooting large or small events, intimate portraits, sports, or just family, the same can be said for all, I love shooting.
Henri Cartier-Bresson said “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” I have accumulated much more then 10,000 images but sometimes it feels like I’m working through the 9 thousands. But it’s a process that keeps me wanting to learn more, 9996, 9997, 9998…
